We are delighted that Simon Singh, science writer and Sense about Science trustee, is auctioning his Second World War cipher machine to raise money for the AllTrials campaign and Good Thinking.
The M-209 is a portable mechanical cipher machine (about the size of a lunchbox) that was used by the US military during WW2 and the Korean War.
Bonhams Fine Art Auctioneers will auction the machine on Tuesday 27 October. Please help us to share details of the auction with every person and organisation that might be interested. The money raised will be divided between Good Thinking and AllTrials, but if you cannot afford to bid in excess of £1,000 for an M-209, please consider making a small monthly or one-off donation instead.
