Declaration of transparency for each research article

An editorial in the BMJ is putting forward a new proposal for scientific journals to include a ‘transparency declaration’ for all article submissions. The declaration asks the lead author to confirm the article is an ‘honest, accurate, and transparent account of the study being reported’.
The BMJ and BMJ Open have already implemented this policy and are urging other journals to do likewise.
