Core humanist values of empathy, compassion, reason and evidence motivate Farnham Humanists to support the AllTrials campaign for the data from all clinical trials, past and future, to be published. Currently only 50% are published and these tend to be the ones giving positive results for new treatments. Doctors should have all the evidence available to them when making decisions about patient care. Anybody taking part in a trial should have confidence that its results will be used to help others. Furthermore all future trials should be pre-registered.
