As humanists, we make sense of the world by balancing the shared human values of empathy and compassion with a strong sense of social equality, guided and directed by evidence based reason. We fully support the AllTrials campaign, calling for all data from clinical trials, past and future, to be published, believing doctors should have all the evidence available to them when making decisions about patient care, and allowing anyone taking part in a trial to have confidence that its results will be used to help others.
