Solve ME/CFS Initiative

At Solve ME/CFS Initiative (SMCI), we have a deep and longstanding commitment to combating myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), commonly known as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). We were the first to fund research into epidemiology, viral causes, immunology, neuroimaging, exercise physiology, and the autonomic nervous system. Despite our best efforts, the results of many clinical trials, which may have helped our work and improved the lives of ME/CFS patients, have remained unpublished. This lack of transparency is making research more expensive and less effective. SMCI stands with the international AllTrials initiative and calls for all past and present clinical trials to be registered and their full methods and summary results reported.
