Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) is a global student network that advocates to ensure that universities are promoting and protecting medical innovation in the public interest and ensuring that all people regardless of income have access to essential medicines and other health-related technologies. We believe that clinical trials transparency is essential to promoting truly innovative and novel research that best meets the needs of the public, both at our universities and more broadly. Open science is key to making lifesaving knowledge available and fostering collaborative research in order to efficiently and effectively set priorities and inform practices and, when necessary, make it possible to hold our institutions accountable.
