The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine statement
The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine supports full open access to the results of research, including clinical trials.
The School hosts a number of Research Council, Wellcome Trust, Cochrane and other collaborative research centres and partnerships, and conducts work ranging from fundamental laboratory research in infectious diseases and studies of disease causation, through development and assessment of novel interventions and services, to advising on implementation in real life settings of interventions, service and system reforms, and evaluation that informs policy and practice.
This research requires access to trial methods, results and data sets, and we encourage researchers to make their results freely available. This also enables us to sustain a creative and supportive working environment based on rigorous scientific enquiry, and contributes to our mission to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide.
